Person-Centred Counselling · Edinburgh & Online

You already have
what it takes to
become who you want to be.

Sometimes we just need a safe, gentle space to find it. I'm Chris — a person-centred counsellor offering face-to-face sessions in Edinburgh, and online by Zoom or phone, wherever you are.

The curious paradox is that, when I accept myself as I am, then I can change.

It's simpler than
you might think

Taking the first step is often the hardest part. I've tried to make the whole process as low-pressure and straightforward as possible.

You don't have to know what you want to say. You don't need to have things figured out. You just need to reach out.

1

Get in touch

Drop me a message below — just a few words is fine. I'll reply within two working days, and everything you share is confidential.

2

Try a 30-minute session

We start with a short, low-cost trial session (£20) to get a sense of each other. There's no obligation to continue — this is about finding the right fit for you.

3

Work at your own pace

If we're a good match, we agree on how often to meet and for how long — open-ended, or a fixed number of sessions (6, 12, or 25) — whatever works best for you.

4

Begin your journey

Through talking — or, if you'd prefer, through creative expression — we work together at your pace, on your terms. You're always in control.

Hi there —
I'm Chris.

I'm a counsellor based in Edinburgh, trained in Person-Centred Counselling and Psychotherapy, with a background in Play and Art Therapy. If that sounds a bit jargon-heavy — I hate jargon too.

In practice, it means I'll work with you, not at you. I offer a warm, safe, non-judgmental space where you can express, explore, and begin to process whatever is going on. In time — and it's different for everyone — that leads to feeling more fully yourself.

Most of my career has been in counselling services. I've worked with people dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, loss, grief, life transitions, and big changes in circumstances. I have particular experience with young people, disabled people, carers, and those in the caring professions.

I think of us as a team: I'm the expert on counselling, you're the expert on you. Between us, we can get you moving.
